The Institute of Pathology, Laboratory and Forensic Medicine (I-PPerForM) was set up in 2015 after restructuring and rebranding of what was previously known as the Institute of Forensic Science set up in 2011. The niche areas of this Institute are Atherosclerosis and Metabolic Diseases, Study of Diseases with 5 areas of research interest which include:
- Atherosclerosis
- Metabolic diseases
- Epidemiology & Chronic diseases in the community
- Natural Products/ Clinical Trials
- Forensic Science and Medicine
The main objectives of the Institute include providing a platform combining all fields and practice of Forensic Science and Medicine in conducting research, producing publications, innovations and organization of Forensic related conferences.
